5 days away!

The Showcase is coming up very fast! Its Tuesday night and I get to fly out Sunday morning! Our season ended the week before Thanksgiving break. At the time I had a couple injuries: Bruised MCL, Shin Splints/bruised, and a Sprained ligament in my foot. Needless to say, I took the week off which helped me out a lot! So Sunday night rolls around and it was back to training hard. Sunday/ Monday nights were strictly devoted to getting back into the main job, shot stopping. Taking about 300 shots a night, I quickly got back into the groove. Also doing break aways and crosses during the night sessions to also get my feel back for judging the ball. Today i took a break from the field and worked on reaction time and cardio fitness. I trained in a raquetball room by doing the agility ladder and working with a reaction ball. (ball which bounces off center and flies many directions). After the drills, I ran a quick mile and was done for the day!
I'm getting very excited but starting to feel the nerves and the pressure. I would like to thank everyone who has talked to me lately and who has given me words of encouragement. I couldnt ask for better friends. Also i would like to thank my teachers for not only letting me miss class for a week, but also not punishing me with extra work or even grades being dropped.
To keep everyone up to date, I will be blogging every night while I'm there. You can find journal or blog entries here, or for a more relaxed/small updates you can follow me on Twitter @haydencoffman . The Twitter account probably will have pictures as well so be sure to look on there!
